چکیده

Finite buffer, single server queues with general service times along with state dependent queues were shown to be robust with respect to the general flow processes in transportation & material handling systems (MHS). This paper examines the integration of multi-server and state dependent queues and the robustness properties in these queueing network models. It is also shown that the topological arrangements problem (TAP) in a finite queueing network is NP−Hard. Extensive computational results are included to test the properties of these network models to changes in service times, buffers, and otherMHS network parameters.

Optimal Routing in Closed Queueing Networks with State Dependent Queues

Optimal routing in closed queueing networks with state dependent queues is the focus of this paper. We seek a methodology and algorithm to efficiently solve the routing probabilities in closed systems. These systems may include multi-server exponential and general service finite capacity state dependent models as well as multi-chain systems. The state dependent models included within this paper...

State Dependent Models of Material Handling Systems in Closed Queueing Networks

A comprehensive algorithmic analysis of finite state dependent queueing models and exponentially distributed workstations is formulated and presented. The material handling system is modeled with finite state dependent queueing network M/G/c/c models and the individual workstations are modeled with exponentially distributed single and multi-server M/M/c queueing models. The coupling of these qu...

On duality of modular G-Riesz bases and G-Riesz bases in Hilbert C*-modules

In this paper, we investigate duality of modular g-Riesz bases and g-Riesz bases in Hilbert C*-modules. First we give some characterization of g-Riesz bases in Hilbert C*-modules, by using properties of operator theory. Next, we characterize the duals of a given g-Riesz basis in Hilbert C*-module. In addition, we obtain sufficient and necessary condition for a dual of a g-Riesz basis to be agai...

On a conjecture of a bound for the exponent of the Schur multiplier of a finite $p$-group

Let $G$ be a $p$-group of nilpotency class $k$ with finite exponent $exp(G)$ and let $m=lfloorlog_pk floor$. We show that $exp(M^{(c)}(G))$ divides $exp(G)p^{m(k-1)}$, for all $cgeq1$, where $M^{(c)}(G)$ denotes the c-nilpotent multiplier of $G$. This implies that $exp( M(G))$ divides $exp(G)$, for all finite $p$-groups of class at most $p-1$. Moreover, we show that our result is an improvement...

Computing Vertex PI, Omega and Sadhana Polynomials of F12(2n+1) Fullerenes

The topological index of a graph G is a numeric quantity related to G which is invariant under automorphisms of G. The vertex PI polynomial is defined as PIv (G)  euv nu (e)  nv (e). Then Omega polynomial (G,x) for counting qoc strips in G is defined as (G,x) = cm(G,c)xc with m(G,c) being the number of strips of length c. In this paper, a new infinite class of fullerenes is constructed. ...
